Abbygayle Baker (piano) is a Bay Area-raised pianist who received her B.M. in Piano Performance and Piano Pedagogy from The Master’s University in Southern California. With a background in classical piano, she has a passion for music history and classical repertoire. Abbygayle has taught at various locations across California and abroad, and is a member of the Music Teachers National Association and the California Association of Professional Music Teachers. She has performed with the Master’s University Chorale at Carnegie Hall in New York, and is the recent winner of the CAPMT Romantic / Impressionist competition. Abbygayle works well with students of all ages and levels.
Geoffrey Ullerich (piano) began his musical journey as a child in Iowa via piano lessons with Edith “Edie” Ebersole, and continued his journey by gigging at numerous community events throughout his youth. He earned his BA in music production from Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, IA, where he participated in the concert and jazz bands. In 2014, Geoff relocated to San Francisco to attend Academy of Art University (AAU) where he earned an MFA in music production for visual media in the spring of 2017. Geoff is currently a musician at the First Unitarian Church of Oakland, accompanist for the Mills College Choir, and performs regularly in the Bay Area. Geoff works especially well with children ages 5 and up.
Paul Cress (piano, guitar) received his B.A. in Music with Emphasis in Composition and Piano from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon and studied with Vincent McDermott, a world music composer specializing in South East Asian opera and Gamelan Orchestras of Indonesia. He has studied piano with Jameson Trotter, son of Terry Trotter, the pianist for Natalie Cole; and Hiram Harvell. He has played keyboards in jazz, funk, rock, Latin and African influenced groups. Paul has been teaching piano for over 15 years and guitar for 8 years, and works well with students of all ages. He is passionate about sharing his musical knowledge and incorporates classical, blues, Latin and jazz in his lessons.
