Students should plan to commit to lessons for the full school year so that your preferred lesson time can be held. If unforeseen circumstances require a student to terminate lessons mid-year, one month’s paid notice is required to end lessons.

Summer Lessons

Students should expect to continue lessons on at least a part-time schedule through the summer to maintain the skills they develop through the school year.

Tuition for the 2019 summer semester are offered in packages of 4, 6, or 8 lessons. If a student cannot attend at least 4 lessons during the summer semester, a $100 hold fee per student is available to keep a spot in the studio in the fall.

Students who do not hold their spot or enroll for summer lessons are not guaranteed a spot in the studio for the fall semester.

Studio Recitals

I offer my students an opportunity to participate in one annual studio recital and optional branch recitals every month. Recitals are a wonderful way to share what students have learned throughout the year with their families and friends, while developing performance skills such as poise, self-confidence, musical polish, and showmanship.

Along with practice, regular attendance is essential for student progress and to avoid frustration. Lessons must be canceled with at least 24-hours notice in order to be rescheduled. In the event that your student needs to miss a lesson because of illness or emergency, please contact me with as much advance notice as possible. Make-ups for missed lessons are not guaranteed. No refunds will be given for missed lessons. Advance notice of cancellations must be given at least 24 hours in advance.

Any lessons that I miss due to illness or emergency will be rescheduled as soon as possible.

Please be prompt – lesson times cannot be extended for students who arrive late. Students should be picked up promptly at the end of their lesson time.
