Part-Time Associate Piano Teacher

At Plumrose Piano Studio, our instructors work together in a collaborative teaching environment to continually share best practices as teachers, and exchange creative teaching tools and ideas to ensure that each student is supported and engaged in their music study. We believe in a holistically-minded teaching approach that aims to develop confidence, creativity, initiative, and perseverance in each student, and encouraging the unique talents of each student so that they can achieve their individual musical goals.

Our San Francisco-based Piano Studio is looking for additional Part-Time Associate Piano Teachers to join our team!

Our Associate Piano Teachers will be provided with:

Lovely private teaching spaces located in the Laurel Heights or Parkside neighborhoods of San Francisco

-1-5 teaching days per week, depending on the Teacher’s availability

Requirements:
-Bachelor's Degree in Piano Performance, Collaborative Piano, or Music with emphasis in Piano
-Exceptional communication skills
-Self-motivated and energetic
-Able to keep a consistent weekly schedule
-Reliable and on-time

Preferred:
- Master's Degree in Piano Performance, Collaborative Piano, or Music with emphasis in Piano
- Available to teach at least 2-3 days per week
- At least 1 year of previous teaching experience
- Experience or interest in teaching pre-reading ages/knowledge of Kodaly or Orff

The Associate Piano Teacher will:
-
Teach one-on-one private piano lessons to children, teenagers, and/or adults, online and in-studio
-Encourage progress in lessons by building a positive relationship with each student and their families
-Assist in preparing students for studio events and performances
-Communicate regularly with studio owner to review curriculum and ways to improve student learning

Compensation:
$45-50/hour for one-on-one lessons
$75-100/hour for studio classes and workshops
